The next morning Gabbs and I got up early to head down to the track for Dustin’s race. My friend Nicole (her boyfriend is our rear tire carrier) rode with us and we had a great time. Thankfully it was too hot and there was a breeze. We qualified on the pole and ran about 5th all race and then pitted toward the end and finished 14th. Praying we catch a break soon…we need a win!!!

Dustin wanted his picture taken with Deangelo Williams who is a running back for the Carolina Panthers. He and Austin are good friends and go to each other’s games/races. He seemed like a really nice and down-to-earth guy. Don’t think he was too excited that I mentioned my niners making the super bowl. But then he laughed it off and said his girlfriend is a diehard Chargers fan so I didn’t feel too bad rubbing it in haha!
I would love to go to a race there sometime. We will have to schedule a visit next year when they are racing in Charlotte. Funny about mentioning the 49ers. I would have too. Never miss on a chance to mention the World Series Champion Giants either.:)
